Update On Maybank’s S$ iSAVvy Savings Account
September 3, 2007 – 11:31 pmThe other day, I read on a forum, a guy seemed to have had a rude surprise when he opened the Maybank’s S$ iSAVvy Savings Account in Singapore, and then a Singapore PayPal account. Actually, it is not that difficult to figure out what we have to do to withdraw PayPal funds without getting our account frozen pending review and re-verification.
Do know that PayPal are taking these steps to ensure that fraud is not happening right under their nose. And sometimes we get caught in the web and we may be angry but it is all for the good of the community.
To use PayPal and withdraw funds smoothly, you will need to have a bank account that carries the SAME account holder name and address as your PayPal account. You will also need to verify your PayPal account with a credit card to do away with transaction limit and this credit card will also have to match your personal particulars on file on PayPal.
If your name is written in a different way on PayPal and your bank account or credit card, you can write to PayPal to get it changed but you will have to proof it with utility bills or some other supporting document.
Do remember that if your PayPal account, or eBay for the matter, is frozen, you will most probably have to proof it by faxing in your utility bill. It is good to have one of the household utility bills under your name, just in case.
Once you know the mechanics of PayPal, just work towards getting the solution.
