Withdraw PayPal to Ringgit Now Possible!
September 29, 2007 – 11:42 pmYes, I think it is possible now and that PayPal has finally heard all the noise that we have been making. Logging into my account last night to make a withdrawal, I saw a new option available to us. I did not try it yet but I read from the links provided that we can now transfer our PayPal funds to our credit card, debit card or prepaid card.

PayPal will be charging US$5 per transaction and the minimum sum to transfer is US$10. If the transaction is cancelled due to mismatched information, PayPal will also impose another service charge. I think US$5 is really reasonable! PLUS, everyone whose PayPal is verified will already have a card linked to the account.
Now, my concerns are as follows:
1. Will our card impose a charge for accepting a transfer?
2. What is the maximum amount that we could accept?
3. What will the exchange rate be? Market rate or lower?
4. How many days will it take?
I am not going to try this method but I am going to get my friend to test it out. He will be transferring PayPal funds to his Public Bank Visa Electron card and then try to transfer the funds from his card to his Public Bank Savings Account. The reason I am not trying is because I do not have a Public Bank account linked to my Public Bank Visa Electron card, although this card is linked to my PayPal account.
If this works for him, I am going to open a Public Bank Savings account. Gosh, I have SO many bank accounts already! Anyway, if it works, why not, right? I don’t mind being charged MYR8 per year for the ATM card!
It’s high time PayPal heard us!
UPDATE: Transfer limit to card is USD500 per day
