Celcom Online Customer Service

October 31, 2007 – 12:17 pm

About a week ago, I received an SMS text from Celcom informing of their new Celcom Online Customer Service. Well, it’s about time!

So I went to this mile-long URL http://onlinecustomerservice.celcom.com.my Can’t they just give it a short URL like http://custcare.celcom.com.my or http://bill.celcom.com.my?

Anyway, registration is fairly simple but I am not sure how secure it is. Just provide your name, MyKad number, Celcom phone number and email address. You will then receive an email confirming your registration and an SMS message with a temporary password that is valid for two hours. Log in with your mobile number and the temporary password and you will be prompted to change to a password of your choice.

Disappointingly, the bill statement is not updated. It’s still showing my September bill when I have already paid for my October bill a week ago! Also, I requested for an upgraded credit limit and it’s not reflected in my account information. Haihh what’s the use of having an online bill portal when it’s not “on demand”. By the way, a week ago, I sent three SMS text to Bill On Demand but I didn’t receive a reply. I wonder if this is a billed service. Does anyone know?

  2. Hi, thanks for stopping by my site. In regards to your previous comment, it’s possible that links for blog.cyberpartygal.com and http://www.blog.cyberpartygal.com are counting towards two different blogs, instead of being combined, the way to solve this would be to have a permanent redirect, or use the no www plugin or just upgrade to the newest version of WordPress. Anyway that’s the only thing I can think of. But don’t be disheartened up till a few days ago most of us had PR 0’s. Emma

  3. Hi Emma,

    Thanks for coming by too.

The problem is, up till last week, I had a PR3, but today, I checked on PPP’s URL Trends custom PR checker and it’s only 0.8 *shocked* while my toolbar is showing one.

Just a few short hours ago, I went to WebSite Grader after reading your post and here are my results:

I have a 3 here and even scored 84 points. *sigh*

  8. Um… I can’t agree on Celcom good service Naim :) sorry I had too much bad experience with their service. I still use it because they are the monopoly lord… no choice have to use it. If not for the stupid 3G widest coverage, lowest SMS price and my 888 number I would have switch back to Maxis. By next year, I should cancel my streamyx since the 4 company granted by the government is full swing on Wimax. In Sarawak one of this company giving free Wifi access for 1 year.

The reason I stumble this blog is because of Celcom bad service too… they have the marathon runs of URL. I can’t remember it. Hahahaha

    Cheers!

    Cyberpartygal nice blog :)

  9. Hi netster!

Thanks for the compliment and thanks for leaving a comment!

Wow, I am envious that you will be getting free WiMax for A YEAR! That would be awesome if I could get that in Ipoh. You know, I have an iPhone and it is pretty useless without wi-fi. I had to buy a wireless router just for it.

Wow, it would be a lot of savings with a year of free service. I too would terminate my Streamyx subscription in a heart beat!
