No. 1 On Yahoo Search “+Poslaju Shipping Rates”
October 29, 2007 – 10:21 pmSo, Goo. dropped ALL my blogs by two ranks. YES, TWO across the board. One became UNRANKED. Beat that! Yes, I am losing traffic from organic searches and I am losing money from AdSense and amazingly, Advertlets too. I didn’t know that they are Page Rank dependent. I thought that Advertlets revenue is based on page impressions.
And NuffNang? I don’t even know what they are based on. I see the ads being displayed on my blogs even though I didn’t get any email from them saying, “Congratulations, an advertiser … bla bla bla..” and yet, I do not see any money credited into my account.

BUT it is not the end of the world. Look at this screenshot and who is number one for “+Poslaju Shipping Rates”? ME ME ME ME ME!!! I am at number one, number five and also number nine and ten for my eBay listings, which I did not take a screenshot of.
Yeah, Goo. may be angry and it does hurt my pocketbook and my ego but look at the big picture. The internet is huge and Goo. is definitely not the be all and end all. I have new blogs which I will not be putting any Goo. ads. Yahoo! here I come!

Hi Cyberpartygal!
Nope, Advertlets is not PageRank dependent. However, you might have less revenue due to perhaps, less organic traffic from search engines (which is of course, PageRank dependent). You’re not the only one who has suffered from a drop, a lot of Malaysian bloggers have too, sadly enough.
Cheers!

Hi Josh,
Thanks for commenting and clarification that Advertlets is not PR dependent.
The weird thing was that my page impression remained almost the same despite the PR drop. For the past few days, my Advertlets revenue was only about 10% of my normal daily revenue. Yesterday, earnings recovered. Maybe it was not recorded somehow.
Anyway, no harm done. All is well now

Well, all impressions are not created equal…For your blog, Malaysian traffic earns the most, so the more impressions/visitors from that country the better, and well, if not many, then not so good la. Glad that things are going well. Cheers
