Secret Discount Code
October 23, 2007 – 1:11 pmI notice that quite a few online stores have now adopted a secret gateway to their store discount code. I don’t know what trend this is and you really won’t find it unless somebody points out to you.
Call this fortune cookie of Easter egg if you want but I see no point in doing this if customers do not get to enjoy the savings and guess what their Buyer will feel knowing that he or she paid more than necessary.
I think that if an ecommerce site adopts this, then least a note should be put on the check out section letting the Buyer know that there is an Easter egg to be found and the directions to get to it.
This will surely make the Buyer very happy to receive unexpected savings! What do you think? I don’t have an Easter egg on my Store, though. Do you think I should implement it?
