Shipping Common Sense II
October 30, 2007 – 9:37 amFurther to my post a few days ago, Shipping Common Sense, on the flip side, there are quite a handful of Sellers who try to get the maximum out of Shipping. It’s common sense that Shipping rates are FIXED.
But then these Sellers try to justify that high “shipping” with handling and packaging , gas and parking fees, etc. but then they clump all these fees into one lump sum and try to pass them off as Shipping.
I heard that many such Sellers were reported to the administrators for exorbitant shipping charges. Well, some people may find it necessary to lodge a report. However, personally, I feel that it is up to the Buyers to clarify with the Seller and ask for a breakdown of the figure. Do you, as a Buyer putting yourself in the Seller’s shoes, think that it is justified? Are you willing to pay RM20 for “shipping” knowing that the real shipping is only RM5.20 (within Peninsular Malaysia for packages under 500g)?
