Time To Compare Mortgages
October 3, 2007 – 8:35 amIf you remember, I wrote about the problem my sister is facing with the mortgage company and the high interest rate. Well, it was high when she signed the papers but since it has dropped a little, she is now considering a remortgage depending on how much she can save. Mortgages are expensive and for most of us, we have to live with it for the better part of our working life. It is really tough to be an adult. Owning a home should be a joyous occasion but the mortgage kills the joy. Do you agree?
My sister is now a year older and wiser and she knows now what she wants from her mortgage and where she has been paying extra. A year late is still not too late, I told her. This time, she should really do some extra research and compare mortgages from various institutions.
I believe that of she can spend time to compare mortgages, she would have a better understanding on what to expect from her mortgage and not put her hopes to high.
