Who Wants More Website Traffic?
October 5, 2007 – 11:13 pmI do! As the owner of seven active blogs, one ecommerce site and a personal website, my time and attention like a pie is sliced thin. Although I do advertise my sites heavily, I heard that it is not as effective as search engine optimization. I have not tried it yet although I mentioned time and again that I would want to do an experiment and see if I could get more website traffic. Of course, if I could only improve on my search engine results rankings, more website traffic would be headed this way, naturally.
A friend of mine told me that he optimized his site not too long ago to be more search engine friendly and he has been very satisfied with the results. He mentioned that apart from optimizing, he also bought a number of contextual links from related sites and that helped to drive traffic as well.
Of course, I am envious of his statistics, most of which come from organic searches on the major search engines and clicking through to his site. Just by taking these steps, he managed to secure more business from Buyers’ searches.
This sounds very promising and I will surely look into my options and see if I can gain more website traffic.
