eBay Store Or Not

Now that eBay Malaysia has brought us the Store feature, many Sellers are wondering if they should start a Store. Having a Store is very attractive, especially when a Basic Store is only RM12 per month. However, many do not know that running a Store on eBay will not get you added exposure. What is does is help you with managing your inventory better. No longer do you have to relist your items perpetually if you select the “Good till cancelled” option.

Most of the basic listing features will be free just like any other eBay Seller who does not maintain a Store.

If you opt to open a Store, make sure that to bring attention to your store, list your items in the Auction and Fixed Price marketplace as well. Yes, I know it defeats the purpose of having a Store but then this is the way to beat the system.

The advantage of having a Store, besides managing your inventory seamlessly, is the ability to manage your Buyers. You will have access to tools to send regular email updates to your Buyers. This is great only if you do not already have this mailing list in your email client.
