Listing In Specific Categories
November 12, 2007 – 12:55 amI understand that some people have been complaining of the high fees that are being charged by eBay for their Malaysian marketplace. People have been saying that the traffic levels do not justify that. Well, I do not know how they come to those figures but I am sure that they have taken into account administrative costs and costs of running a secure auction marketplace of this magnitude.
I have no plans to use any of the paid features and I am prepared to turn a decreased sales volume. It would not have to be so IF eBay has more specific categories. I had thought that with a revamped site and the new billing structure, something as simple as a more comprehensive category list would make it easier for shoppers to look for what they want.
I demand to have a better list of categories, specifically LINGERIE. This is right now clumped under Women’s –> Others. Or is this done intentionally so that we will pay those darn fees just to fight among each other for the attention of the curious browser??
