Public Bank Mega Bonus Error
November 30, 2007 – 12:13 pmWell, a couple of months ago since I started using Public Banks’ Visa Electron card for my PayPal withdrawals, I noticed that I was awarded with mega bonus cash bank. I told them of the error and they agreed that it’s a system error and will be rectified.
Little did I know that they deducted the amount from my account when they did not even credit it into my account, since the way this mega bonus works, they were only supposed to credit it once every thirteenth month.
So they must have thought that they already credited the money to my account and without checking, they quickly deducted money from ME.
It has been a couple of weeks since I told them over the phone that they mistakenly deducted money from my Visa Electron Card and one of the staff told me that they will return it soon.
Like I said, it’s a couple of weeks and since they know that they had a system error, then they should remit the money to be at the first instance and not make me wait for another thirteen months!

For my case, they deducted the mega bonus from my account. I got rm20+ in my account and after they deducted, my account becomes negative value!!

Hi Jys,
I also had negative RM200 in my account after one year.
Well, just give the Card Centre a call. I had my charges reversed and mega bonuses restored.

ya, i called them and they revert back the charges. We are not entitled for the mega bonus right? if we use the debit card to withdraw paypal..

Hi Jys,
No, bill payment and PayPal withdrawals are not eligible for mega bonus.
Mega bonus is only for retail purchases, including online shopping.
