The Importance Of An ID
November 18, 2007 – 1:28 pmI read that one of the tricks to be more search friendly on eBay or any other online marketplaces is to have an ID that reflects the niche products that you sell. For instance, I am selling lingerie, so I should put my ID as Bra Lover or Miss Lingerie or Lingerie Lady. These are just examples. Haha!
I know of some people who changed their ID mid-way trading on eBay. There are some who changed it more than once. This constant change will only serve to confuse their Buyers.
In my case, many people have asked me about my ID. Well, I know that my ID or even the name of my Store does not reflect or represent any product that I sell. One would have no idea what I am selling.
However, what I am trying to do is to break away from the “auction image”. I am trying to create a brand. Perhaps I should register my name legally or something.
