Unhappy Over Fees
November 8, 2007 – 4:36 pmI was told that some of eBay Malaysia Sellers were unhappy with the new fee structure after the marketplace underwent a revamp. Frankly, I have long anticipated this day to come. I am not surprised that there are fees imposed for some of the enhanced features. I am just glad that there is still the basic listing which is free.
I mean, what more can Sellers ask for?
eBay Malaysia has provided us with three long years of free use of the marketplace, basic as it was but still I am sure many of the Sellers who worked hard during this time managed to earn a little pocket money.
All I can say is there is no point being unhappy over the fees when we already know that there will be one day. Just be thankful that there was that three year time frame for us to learn about selling, build our confidence, reputation and Buyer’s trust for free.
Remember, we can still use eBay Malaysia like we always did for the past three years. At this point of writing, fees are only imposed on enhanced features and nothing more.
Also, if you are thinking of opening a store, the first 30 days are free. Subsequent months will be MYR12 per month for a basic store.
