Studying In A Charter Shcool

December 20, 2007 – 1:30 am

This morning, my friend, who is raising a family in the United States, told me that they will be sending their older child to a charter school next year. Well, I have never heard of “Charter schools” before.

According to my friend, these are private schools for students in Grades 10, 11 and 12 and their study schedule is very flexible. The reason that she is trying a Charter school on her oldest child is because of the subjects that they will be thought.

It’s interesting that these students, like those in The East Range Academy of Technology and Science (ERATS), a Charter high school sponsored by Capella University will get to study about social media via blogs and wikis, robotics and other science and technology subjects and yet they have the freedom to choose whatever they want to study when they are older. They can even get a phr certificate even if they wanted to because Human Resource would be covered in their curriculum, I guess.
