McDonald’s Voucher RM5 X 4

January 15, 2008 – 5:08 pm

Last month, Celcom told me that Petronas was supposed to sponsor my Celcom postpaid line by deducting RM5 from my December bill. Well, there was no such deduction and I paid the full amount that I used.

Earlier this month, I received a similar telephone call from a Celcom staff telling me that if I were to settle my bill before the deadline, I would qualify for four RM5 McDonald vouchers, worth a total of RM20.

When I received her call, I have already paid my bill but it looks like she did not know since she had to entice me to “pay up” with those McDonald’s vouchers. Little did she know that I have never eaten any McDonald’s before except for their soft serve ice-cream once.

If I have a choice, I prefer McDonald’s to sponsor RM20 off my bill like Petronas was supposed to do. But first, let’s see how long it takes these vouchers to reach me.

And Petronas better quickly deduct RM5 from my next bill, OK???

  3. Hi Editor,

    Thanks for your tips.

I don’t feel shortchanged by Celcom. I pay for what I use. All these vouchers are just bonuses.

I am just wondering aloud if anyone received similar offers and if they actually got what was offered.
