Paypal Withdrawal To Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card Cleared

February 28, 2008 – 7:35 pm

Last month, a friend of mine initiated a PayPal withdrawal of US$500 funds to his Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card. According to records, PayPal had discovered a problem on 20th January, 2008 but did not post a notice ANYWHERE. My friend initiated this withdrawal on 23rd January, 2008. Obviously, if he had known of this problem, he would not have done so.

Anyway, according to my friend, his $495, less $5 PayPal fee, is still NOT cleared into his Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card.

Although eBay did issue an announcement earlier this month saying that the problem has been solved, I held off my own withdrawal until my friend’s case is settled. But unfortunately, after more than a month, there is still no sign of the money.

In spite of that, I made my own withdrawal on 25th February, 2008 and it cleared this evening as expected, without a problem. So what is the matter with my friend’s funds?
