Understand What You Are Bidding On
February 23, 2008 – 7:15 pmI wrote on my other blog, that I am listing my two iPhone total body skin from Best Skins Ever for auction on eBay and I am throwing in free shipping.
Just now, a guy came and placed a bid on my auction item and he sent me a message asking me if my iPhone could be used along with Maxis or Celcom SIM card. So I replied that yes, my Apple iPhone could be used with DiGi, Maxis and Celcom SIM card.
After replying his question, it dawned on me that this bidder thought that he is bidding on an iPhone. Beat that, an iPhone for only MYR30? He must be dreaming!
Anyway, I shot him a follow up email and told him that what he is bidding on is actually only the SKIN from Best Skins Ever and not an Apple iPhone, and he went, “OICCCCC, so what is the specification of your iPhone?”
Now, that got me rather pissed off but thankfully, when you are doing online retail no one can see your facial expression. Haha! I told him that I am selling the SKIN only but if he is interested in checking out the specification of the iPhone, then b y all means go to the Apple Store to check it out. I also pointed him to the website of Best Skins Ever and hopefully, he finally gets it that I am not selling an iPhone for MYR30.
You see, I am always stumped why people do not read properly or is it that they did read but do not comprehend simple English? When in doubt, always email the Seller first before bidding. Needless to say, I have already cancelled his bid, since he did not do it himself.
