Link Exchange

I have been receiving emails from a link exchange directory seeking to exchange links with my blog. When I first started my blog, I did place my link with them and gave a reciprocal link to this directory. It has been so long ago that I don’t even remember which directory this is.

Anyway, this person from the online directory kept emailing me to exchange links but I don’t want to exchange links with all those sites that are irrelevant to my own blog. I don’t even reply her emails.

What value or benefit would either of our sites get when our niches are so far apart?
