PayPal Phishing Attempt
March 22, 2008 – 9:56 amThis morning, I received a PayPal phishing attempt. It’s not the first time but it has been a while that I was nearly caught off guard. LOL Yea, right! Anyway, to be sure that this was a real phishing attempt despite seeing that this email was not addressed to me by name and that my email address in this email is not my PayPal email address, I logged into my PayPal account.
If you do not know yet, if there is an urgent message to you from PayPal, you will receive a pop up message once you log into your account. And even if this email is real, never ever click on links in the email. Just log into your account to read the message.
And by the way, I once again stress, never ever reveal your PayPal [or any other personal and financial information] over email, phone or fax.
