Plus Size People Neglected
March 1, 2008 – 11:17 amI have received many requests from people asking me if I am able to bring in lingerie in larger sizes. I know these are always harder to sell but I try to accommodate them when I could. People have been telling me that they are not able to get any sexy lingerie that fit them. Lingerie that fit them usually looks like their grandmother’s. The same goes for plus size clothing here in Malaysia.
Well, it is kind of sad that plus size people are being neglected. Big could be beautiful too and they should not be left out in the fashion conscious world. I know some of my friends are unable to buy their plus size lingerie, clothes and shoes and they have to shop for these online from online retailers that accept “make to order” orders.
As a one-woman proprietor, I am mostly unable to bring in products that are slower to sell but I think that it is foolish for larger retailers to neglect plus size people because there is a ready market there as well. Of course, there ARE retailers who cater to this group of people but they are few and far between.
