A PayPal Phishing Attempt Yesteday
April 4, 2008 – 9:42 pmEach time I receive an email from “PayPal” claiming that my account has been limited, my heart drops to my stomach, EVEN THOUGH I suspect that it is a phishing attempt. I do not feel at ease until I log into my PayPal account and see no pop up message alerting me of my PayPal limited access. Dang it, I hate to have my feelings and emotions played like that, you know what I mean?
I don’t really mind the phising attempt otherwise because they mostly go into my Spam Folder and I am always very careful about clicking on links in any incoming email.
Whatever the case, each time I get one phishing mail from eBay, PayPal or supposedly other financial institutions, I wonder how many people will make a mess out of their account just because they clicked on the link in the email due to a lapse of judgment.
Sometimes, it is safe to keep changing your password regularly even though it is not compromised.
