ACCENT Banking New Account Services
April 22, 2008 – 12:27 pmIf you were an account holder of Accent Banking, I am sure you would have received notices that all accounts have been closed since 1st April, 2008.
It’s not even three weeks later that they now say that they have a new banking account service. If you do not know, Accent Banking is said to be able to provide US Bank accounts specifically to non-US residents. Actually these services were launched over the weekend.
A reader, tomatoisketchup, mentioned that their 5% on all deposits is expensive. I have to agree, when you compare it to $2 per deposit previously. Yes, what were they thinking? We deposit money into OUR account and we have to PAY? 5% is a great rate. Let’s say you would like to deposit $100 into your account, you will only be getting $95 of your money because you need to pay $5 service charge.
Phew… thank God I do not need to use their services.
