Cheaper Than A Loan
April 17, 2008 – 6:30 pmMy friend told me that he is planning to apply for a credit card. He used to have them but then decided to cancel the cards; I think he could not handle the temptation of charging his cards so he switched to debit cards.
I told him that he should ask about online credit card application because it is easier to apply for a credit card online. You know, the problem with my friend and I is that we are not able to produce any salary slip which is a basic requirement to apply for a credit card but he told me that there are credit card issuers that would issue credit cards against Fixed Deposits. They don’t even stipulate the minimum amount!
According to my friend, when using a credit card to purchase a big-priced item using the easy payment scheme, he is able to pay for his purchase by monthly installment and yet “escape” from paying any interest by ensuring that he settles his credit card bill on time at the end of the month.
What a smart move!
