Missing Consignment
April 2, 2008 – 11:13 amAfter one month, I have to concede that my latest consignment is lost in transit. Well, this is a real risk that we importers have to bear. Doing business is like that. There are many hidden risks that people do not realize unless they are hands-on in it too.
I hate to go through the hassle of claiming for insurance and stuff. It’s not the money that I want to get back, it’s the stocks that I painstakingly picked out for my Buyers here. I don’t know if I even have the time for the run around. What I plan to do now is to give it a little more time and then see what options I have.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed that somehow it has been miss sent to another address and that it will somehow turn up at my door at a later date. Yes, it has happened before and even if you sent your consignments by private courier that is not a guarantee.
Boy… and I thought that I would have new stocks for my online store, like LAST MONTH!
