My Mailing List Is GONE!
April 22, 2008 – 6:01 amMy computer crash last week due to virus, I think and when I sent it to the shop, I did not have the chance to back up my Mailing List. Well, I though that I would run CHK Disk when I return from my shopping but when I came home, to my horror, I could not even turn on my computer!
I sent it to the shop and told the technician to back up my files first before installing a new copy of Windows XP but he did not. He claims that he could not access my drive because it was showing the Blue Screen of Death.
Well, I think he was just lazy and wanted a short cut so did not access my drive as a secondary drive to retrieve my files. I am pretty pissed off to say the least and they were not apologetic at all. I’m still thinking if I should continue to patronize that shop.
I know that some people may blame me for not doing a back up but sometimes when you did back up your files, it may not be the latest copy. Anyway, what’s gone is gone and even if I were to compile the list again, there will be missing data.
So sad
