April 16, 2008 – 10:27 pmI received an email from HSBC about switching to eStatements and that for every customer that does that, they will plant a tree in his or her name in conjunction with the Arbor Day Foundation.
From experience, I know that many people do not like to go paperless. I have already been using eStatements for my Maybank account and many customers, especially the older ones and not web savvy, say they would rather have passbooks or at least paper statements. Yes, me also.
So it’s too bad that I will not be changing to eStatements. Send me my paper statements monthly please! I love to file them up so that saves me from printing them up and filing them!
What about you? Do you like to go paperless or are you one of us who only have peace of mind when we see our balance add up at the end of the month?
