An Idea For My Home Office
May 3, 2008 – 5:27 amSome of you may have read that I expanded my small office, home office. One side of the room has a window that opens inside the house while another side opens to the garden.
I’ve been thinking of getting thick curtains to block out the afternoon sun but a friend suggested that I change my glass panes to wood shutters for all the windows that open to the garden. He said that my house would look nicer because there are many styles to choose from and not the plain glass panels that I now have.
Well, I am receptive of the idea except that I am not prepared to fork out more than necessary. I have already spent quite a tidy sum maintaining the house so making renovations like that, I would need to wait till I strike the lottery!

You may still need something for the heat. I have the same problem in my house. I’m thinking about making a pull down shade with heavy window film that I can just use in the afternoon. I once had these when I was able to find them locally and they worked great. Well, it will be another project to write about.
