Eco Quest at Kinta City
June 14, 2008 – 7:35 pmLast evening, I was shopping at Kinta City and they had an eco quest challenge to educate people on the importance of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Shoppers were encouraged to contribute ideas on how they could help Mother Nature, how they do their part in recycling on a day to day basis and how they could pass these values on to the younger generation.
What amused me was that at one point, shoppers were picked to get up on the stage and separate a bag of “rubbish”. Of course, there was very exiting music in the background and the loud ticking of a clock that made contestants more nervous than they were participating in EcoQuest Intl!
It was quite fun and I would have gone up to play as well, but their prizes were not attractive enough! They were only giving away those ugly brown recyclable bags from Jusco but some people were happy to get them for free since these bags were sold at about RM3.90 each normally.
