Maternity & Baby Items
June 12, 2008 – 8:35 pmMy friend, Wei, is preparing the arrival of her first born in November. Though it still is a long way till then, she is understandably quite nervous. She told me that baby items are very expensive in Singapore where she lives and work and she would rather come home to Ipoh and collect second hand baby items from friends and family! She will only buy the rest and even so, will definitely not buy them in Singapore where the exchange rate is double our Malaysian currency!
Wei told me that her cousin has a crib bedding waiting for her to collect. Her cousin is passing it to her since it is no longer in use but still in a great condition.
That’s why it is great to come from a large family. With all these items waiting for her to collect, I don’t think she needs to shop for maternity or baby items at all!
