Poor Customer Service
June 28, 2008 – 10:05 pmI took my computer to the repair shop the other day like I mentioned in a previous post to get my network card changed. Of course this was a simple job and I could do it myself. However, since it was struck by lightning, I wanted to be sure that only the network card had to be changed and the rest of the set up was fine. I could not troubleshoot myself at home so to save the unnecessary running around, I carted everything to the shop.
When I was there, I wanted to see if I could upgrade my RAM. The technician checked and says that both ram are working fine but I cannot upgrade because I do not have additional ram slot. If I were to upgrade, I would have to replace one, which means taking out something that is working fine, which I am reluctant to do.
When I reacted home and put on my computer, I realized that my RAM was halved. SIGH, the guy did not fit back my RAM into the slots properly and my system could not read it. I had to open my up computer to fix it. Gah… absolutely do not like to open up my computer unnecessarily!
This wasn’t the first time I experienced their shoddiness. Remember the time I lost half my data in my hard disk? Well, it’s the same shop too!
