PayPal Policy Update w.e.f. 20th August, 2008
July 24, 2008 – 6:19 pmPayPal has just updated their policy yet again. The notice was sent out yesterday but this new policy will only take into effect from 20th August, 2008. This policy, though, was dated 14th July, 2008.
The changes this time around is regarding adding funds to your PayPal account, or in layman’s term, topping up your account. These changes affect the following:
Topping up
Fees
Limitations
Redemption
This change in policy will only affect PayPal customers in the following countries:
Italy, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Greece, Portugal, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mexico.
So, Malaysia is not in the list, which means that this change in policy does not affect us.
However, if you are living in one of the countries listed above, do note that from 20th August, 2008 onwards, you can top up your PayPal account via Bank Transfer from your local bank. PayPal will not be charging any fees but your local bank may charge you a fee for sending funds to your PayPal account. Do find out from your bank first.
