Nearly Lost Our Way

September 11, 2008 – 11:17 pm

A week ago, I nearly lost my way in Ipoh Parade. It’s funny that I have been to that build a million times but on that particular evening, there was a Chinese Orchestra performance by Yuk Choy High School and I did not want to miss it. We were already late as it was because of work.

My friends and I decided to take a short cut and went in from the side door of the building instead of the main entrance. Well, big mistake! Instead of saving some time and reaching the concourse area faster, we spent so much time going through the “maze” and could not find the exit to the main building. It was very creepy, I tell you, but luckily I was with a few friends or I would have blanked out.

I really want to suggest to the management to install exit signs, preferably luminescent ones if they do not plan to light up the eerily dark corridors. I wonder if anyone has gotten lost inside in the history of the building.
