Outsourcing IT
September 30, 2008 – 6:12 pmAs the owner of an ecommerce store, I am very glad that internet technology has evolved so much in the past few years and many things are now possible to be accomplished if we integrate IT in our business and the daily running of a company. However, there are still quite a handful of companies that have yet to evolve along with the advancement of IT and I think that it’s rather pitiful given the fact that the longer we jump in, the wider the digital divide.
I was just telling my friend, Paul, about how IT would definitely help his architecture-cum-construction company, streamlining work and cutting cost. I was a little worked up because I have given him the contact to a New York IT Consulting company for ages and he still has yet to check them out. Yes, Paul has a phobia for technology but then I know that once he gets the hang of it, he would take to it like fish to water and wonder why he did not adopt IT earlier.
I think Paul still does not get it that he could outsource IT to a professional company and not set up a department in his own company. It would save a lot of time and resources, wouldn’t it?
