Unpaid Item Message from eBay Member jprnds84
June 4, 2009 – 1:00 amI received an email from "eBay" by this member with the ID jprnds84 regarding an unpaid item. Yes, apparently, I bought an item on eBay from this member jprnds84 and I did not pay for it. How come even I did not know that I made a purchase on eBay? LOL
Obviously, this is a phishing email and what is a phishing email without a link, eh? No, I did not click on the link but I did log into my eBay account directly from my browser to check my messages and I was right. There was NO message waiting for me from jprnds84.
Remember, if you received a message from an eBay member and receive a similar email from eBay, even if the email addresses you by your name registered with email, it is better to be safe than sorry and to log into eBay directly from your browser. If you are using Firefox, you would notice that the address bar would be green if you are accessing the REAL website.
