New PayPal Seller Protection

If you are a seller on eBay outside of the United States, you would probably be one of the sellers newly offered with PayPal Seller Protection like I am. Yes, this protection program has been extended to eBay Malaysia as well and I say it’s about time!

To qualify for PayPal Seller Protection, sellers have to receive payment for items sold on eBay via PayPal only. In addition, sellers must ship the item to the address of buyer that is on PayPal records.

Most importantly, sellers must be able to produce shipping proof or documentation should buyer initiate a claim or charge back. If you do not have these, then I am afraid PayPal would not be in a position to help.

The good news is that it is totally free to enjoy such protection. Now, if only buyers here in Malaysia on eBay Malaysia would use PayPal exclusively for payments!
