No Fixed Leave Or Bonuses
July 8, 2009 – 12:36 amWorking from home, a lot of my friends would tell me that they are envious of my time flexibility. Actually, I keep telling them that my time is not mine but whoever has paid for it. They don’t believe me, obviously.
While my friends who are full time employees are able to plan their holidays, I am not able to. These friends would start planning their holidays two of three months before their leave. I, on the other hand, only get to decide to go on last minute holidays. Experience tells me that there’s no point making early plans. I always have last minute assignments which cause me to cancel my trip.
Of course, having no fixed leave or break from work is just one down side. The other one is having no bonus. Obviously, I could declare bonus for myself but it really is more logical to plow back whatever profits into the business at this stage.
