Maybank “New Security Measure”
November 4, 2009 – 2:51 pmI received a phishing email attempt from “Maybank” to an email account that is not linked to my Maybank account. Still, I am thankful that the phishing email was filtered to my Spam folder so that I don’t accidentally clicked on the phishing links that are in the email.
The message came from maybank2u@securitylog.com.my, obviously NOT from Maybank2u domain, and reads:
########

I also noted that although the URL of Maybank is Maybank2u’s, the real embedded link directs to another website, which I have the mind NOT to click on. So if you do get a similar email, do make sure NOT to click on any links. Just go to the website directly from your browser by typing in the URL.
