Becoming More Savvy Shoppers Thanks to Recession

I read an article on a study done by PayPal on credit card holders and their spending habit and it says that one in six credit card holders in the United Kingdom now save up to buy what they want with cash rather than charge their credit card like they would have before the economic downturn.

The study also shows that there are 58% of credit card holders who are aware of prices of merchandise now instead of blindly buying and 54% claim that they have begun to bargain hunt, instead of just buying at the first instance.

After an economic contraction over 1.5 years, Britain is beginning to show a slight improvement on the economy. Do you think that these spending habits will hold or will the Brits forget what they have learnt during the tough economic recession?
