If you are an eBayer in the United States and offering PayPal as a payment service which I am sure all have to, then this is something that should be noted. This change to PayPal’s user agreement in the US states that transactions will no longer be eligible for seller protection if your item is shipped to another address of the buyer not as listed on the transaction page.
This could be tricky as there are mail redirection or redelivery services that some buyers use for whatever reason which means that the items are ultimately shipped to an address that is different from the one listed on the transaction page.
This is something that eBayers in the US should be worried about, I think, since it is out of sellers’ control if the buyer chooses to use mail redirection or redelivery services. Why then penalize Sellers?
